Established in 1997, Alumnus Ltd. is one of the most experienced language service providers in Lithuania. Its overarching goal is to provide only professional translation, revision, editing and post-editing services of the highest order to the institutions of the European Union, as well as to public bodies and private enterprises in Lithuania and abroad.
The strategic direction for Alumnus is the translation, revision and editing of documents for the bodies and agencies of the European Union, as well as for various other organisations and companies.

Our strategic goals are:

  • Preserving the strategic direction of the company while keeping abreast of the latest technological and linguistic developments.
  • Fulfilling the expectations of our clients and anticipating their needs.
  • Fostering the distinguished reputation of Alumnus as a language service provider of the highest order and emphasizing the outstanding customer value of our services of professional and accurate translations.
  • Nurturing the company’s resources – first and foremost, its human resources – to ensure an effective implementation of our quality policy. This includes creating a conducive environment for our staff enabling their high-quality and efficient output, improving qualifications, encouraging collaborations, staff initiatives and new ideas, as well as fostering the up-and-coming generations of translators in close co-operation with the academic establishments.

In accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17100:2015 and ISO 18587:2017, the management of Alumnus undertakes to:

  • Fulfil the requirements set out in contracts with third parties in a timely and qualified manner.
  • Monitor and, taking into account the relevant circumstances and needs, continuously improve the company’s quality management system certified according to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality management systems. Requirements), ISO 17100:2015 (Translation services.
    Requirements for translation services) and ISO 18587:2017 (Translation services. Post- editing of machine translation output. Requirements), as well as encourage staff to contribute proactively to a continuous improvement of the quality management system.
  • Formulate the company’s quality policy aims which are based on our best practice, in line with the company’s purpose and strategic direction.
  • Regularly analyse and assess the company’s quality management system, as well as its strategic goals, aims and objectives, to make sure that they are up-to-date and advantageous to the company.
